David Shakespeare - Yeah, you can take a conversation with someone on another handset that's synced to the same base of operations unit (hub, as y'all chosen it). Merely press INT to bespeak your wife's handset. As for non hearing her, bank check if her handset was muted.

Per your second question: Yes, you can signal another handset by pressing INT even when you are connected to an incoming (or approachable) phone call.

When your wife picks up her handset, press CONF then both of you will exist connected to the same outside caller. Or yous can just hang up and she can continue the chat.
